The Facilities of Punta Ala

Everything necessary for a comfortable stay

Our office is open for any information you require from 9.00 am until 6.00 pm, every day excluding Sunday afternoon. Our staff will help you find a restaurant, public transport, boat hire, a guided visit to a farm or a museum booking.

Punta Ala doesn’t have a historic centre, but it has three shopping complexes: Il Gualdo, La Molletta, Il Porto.

At about 200 metres from the Residence you can find “Il Gualdo” Shopping Centre with its boutiques, bars and patisseries and a small supermarket “Da Aldo”, where you can buy local gastronomical products and cheese.

At the “Molletta” you will find a supermarket with a well-supplied butcher’s and delicatessen counter, the “Toppi” Bakery and a Take-away where you can find ready meals and fresh pasta.

Finally, the port with its thousand berths, is one of the most famous of the Mediterranean for its shipyard and Yacht Club. A variety of restaurants, with fresh fish and traditional dishes, will satisfy your palate, though not before sipping an aperitif while enjoying the sunset over the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.

Numerous farms situated on the plain in Pian d’Alma and Pian di Rocca offer genuine home-grown produce.

During the low season, the lively town of Follonica, a few km from Punta Ala, offers all types of facilities. In the business and commercial area with its supermarkets, shops and bars, you can find everything you need and don’t miss out on a walk along the promenade especially during the sunny days of mid-season. On Friday mornings between 8 am and 1 pm there is the traditional market where you can find anything and everything.
